Arranging for live wedding music is just one of about a millionprojects facing brides and wedding planners. Between flowers, photographers, locales, dresses, showers, rings, video recording, and more, even a little and low-keyed wedding makes for a extraordinary amount of designing. It can be a trying time because if even one of these areas falls through the cracks, your big day can end up being a big letdown.
Here are five secrets to hiring live wedding instrumentalists for your service and reception:
1. Be sure you hire a band with a tried track record of professionalism. Does the handler return your telephone calls promptly? Does the dance band have a web site? Business cards? Other promotional materials? Or do you get the feel you’re speaking to a guy practicing in his garage with his pals? The way the band introduces itself as you begin talking with them is a great indicator of how they’ll come out (or not!) on your wedding day.
2. Punctuality is essential. When you set an meeting to meet face to face or on the phone, it’s like a mini-contract. If the band handler is tardy to meet with you, it’s a warning sign that they don’t take their agreements earnestly. If they can’t make it on time in the planning phase, what other arrangements will they break with you on your wedding day? This extends on to you, likewise - being punctual is just one way you can live a life that displays that you abide by your commitments.
3. Make sure the dance band is easy-going rather than being a bunch of prima donnas. By now you’ve likely heard a million Bridezilla jokes, even if you’re not hard-to-please or outrageous. Imagine engaging the equal in flakiness for your wedding dance band. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to have to wait on your musicians hand and foot, bringing them food and beverage, having the thermostat adjusted for them, or tending to other hard to please demands. The greatest band for you is one that can take care of itself, one that’s easy to get along with, and one that does all it can to make sure your day is fabulous and fun for you.
4. Employ a wedding band that’s fun. Getting hitched is one of the biggest choices you’ll ever make. It’s important business. The music on your wedding day should be splendid and fun. You don’t want to see your guests inattentive, listless, and wishing the party was all over. You want them up, dancing, singing, and smiling. If you select a live wedding music band well, your selection will do lots to make your wedding day memorable in a good way. This is the big day you’ve been waiting for, and music is such a large part of it. Make sure you book a dance band that makes the day flawless - pleasurable for you and your guests.

It’s no problem making a call when you’ve got a big hand and know that you likely are going to win. Since it’s hard to make a hand in poker online, though, and to the aggressor go the spoils, the players that can make tough calls when ahead, and fold when behind, and be right more often will be the ones that milk their edge.
The best way to know which way to lean when it comes to marginal decisions is to look at the story your online poker opponent’s betting makes in relation to the board. If he’s been betting the whole way and the board has changed and become scary, it can be possible that he’s bluffing, especially if he generally tends to avoid betting when the board gets rough. Do his bets add up to a hand that you can put him on, in relation to the manner of play he’s exhibited this far? If the story doesn’t add up, odds are something is off.
Pot odds and perceptions are the two biggest elements to consider in the decision of a call or fold. If the price is right, you might be getting pulled in, but you should weigh in the odds that your opponent would value bet or bet large when he actually has it. Each hand is a puzzle, and the more pieces you have the better your picture is. Think hard, but use your gut at the casino online.

From time to time Mike Caro “The mad poker genius” does columns where he talks about certain aspects of the game of poker. I found one where he talked about bluffing, and since I know many of you are fans of bluffing, I decided to distill the key points. First, the question is, is there a mathematical formula for when it’s optimal to bluff? And Caro answers: of course there is, but it gets complicated when there are so many casino hands out there and you’d have to run through each one of them, and basically your mind can’t handle it unless you’re using a software program. The correct answer is, playing perfect strategy poker. So he was asked, by himself, if he pays attention to the mathematics. “No,” he says, “none whatsoever.” One could make a game theorist strategy with all the variables to play against flawless online poker players, but the truth is, most players, hell, all players aren’t flawless. So such a strategy would be impractical. Instead Caro just goes in and, with odds in mind, makes sweeping adjustments to his game when put in a bluffing situation. Finally, he’s asked, what are the best players to bluff. 1.) don’t bluff an unknown player. 2.) Players who are too tight, though they’re rare in this day and age are profitable to bluff against. And 3.) Oddly, one of the best bluffs is against a frequent bluffer. Why? Well, if you know an opponent to bluff and you’ve read the bet as one, you can turn the whole table around by making the bet, taking the pot, and watching him tuck his tail and give you the pot. Simply put, bluffing the bluffer. And if he doesn’t fold, you’ve always got checkdown value and hope to win the showdown.

It’s no secret that most brick and mortar casinos offer their clientele free alcoholic beverages while they are getting their game on. When you’re drunk, you’re not quite in your right mind, and therefore ripe to be willing to throw your money around like a wild man. Drinking and gambling just don’t mix too well.
Poker is no different. Though you aren’t playing against the house, you are playing against other players, and the smart ones at the online poker table won’t be drinking. Though it surely feels a lot more fun to booze it up while you’re sitting around waiting for cards, this quickly can become a proposition of finding yourself up a creek without a paddle.
Therefore, to this end, avoiding the online poker table when you’ve been drinking is by and large a good idea. I’ve played my share of sessions a little tipsy, and though sometimes it all works out, more often I find I’m playing too many hands, trying to bluff in illogical spots, and otherwise giving my money away. Leaky holes should be plugged, and avoiding the leaks before they even start is an even better way to go about it. Do yourself a favor, and stick to playing in your sober mind.

Playing with more than 50 big poker blinds is considered deep stack playing, and is a much more difficult but potentially lucrative format of poker play. Playing a large poker stack in a no limit game allows you to extract the most value from your opponents when you have the best holding, but also has the highest risk associated with each decision. Playing in a game with more than one big stack changes the entire dynamic of the game, and usually warrants a different style than one would normally play with a regular stack. When you are playing deep stacked with another opponent at the table who has you covered, you typically pay much more attention to what he does more so than what other players are doing. What position he is in relative to you is also important, because it will make a big difference in the post-flop plays you can make against another player in the pot if the other deep stack is involved. Typically, you do not want to build a large poker pot pre flop with the other large stack in the hand, as it will get you into difficult post flop situations if you miss the flop and he floats you. You want to play small pots with him, go to showdown as often as possible to get a line on his play, and then go for the kill when you have a large holding post flop. Depending on how much you want to gamble, holding a large hand pre flop could also be grounds to get it in, but this is much more reckless and usually should be avoided unless the opponent proves himself to be a relatively loose player, capable of getting it all in with less than a premium pocket pair in a pre flop all in situation. These are some general rules of thumb for playing large stacked poker, but it is an endlessly complex playing situation with many more opportunities for difficult decisions. Always proceed with caution when playing deep stacked, and reason through every decision with comprehensive analysis, and solid logic.

I always run into a Nintendo Wii bowler looking to treat your neighborhood bowling league competitively for the first time. If you accept bowling is your calling, this moment is key time in learning the game as a serious student of the game. Listen up, because this guide to the Top 5 Bowling Tips shouldn’t be ignored. An expert in a nearby bowling pro shop can help clients reach their bowling skills. A wise bowling wizard once said: the bowling balls do all the work (after you roll them). I kid. Okay, if only it were that simple. No worry, we can have you rolling your way.
First, invest a little in properly-fitted necessities, especially good bowling shoes. Fit is important. There’s a reason its our number 1 recommendation, have your personal ball drilled for custom finger holes, and you can make more of your practice time. A precision fitted bowling ball can make a substantial improvement in your game. The same goes for enjoying quality bowling shoes which haven’t been worn out by a million people!
If you went ahead and found comfortable bowling ball and shoes, listen to another important bowling tip: aiming the ball. When you hold the ball, don’t actually aim for the pins. Use the notches on the lane like a gunsight. Some greenhorn bowlers don’t even know they’re there. It’s less difficult to aim for a an aid marker that is nearer. For it to work right, double check to see aim from the precise location on the floor every approach. If you do it the same every time you can fine-tune your accuracy and angle.
As for curves, to achieve their desired pin action? That makes another “Next Steps” bowling hint. The secret is the ball type. Most serious bowlers travel with at least two bowling balls to pull off aggressive hooks, depending on many factors. Word of warning: intermediates might want to work with just one, and don’t get a ball that weighs a ton. Many serious bowlers travel with bowling balls with synthetic expert grip. But these balls often make even moderately good pros appear foolish. That about raps it up. A pro from our bowling shop will return next week.
Thanks, Frank Allen
I play for Team “Gipper” for the operation at our marketing business down in Kansas City. I provide guidance to professional and amature bowlers online and in the pro shop. Also, I have to plug my team back home. Best of luck.

Poker Pro Tom McEvoy is leading a grassroots movement in Las Vegas to ban smoking in casinos. His story is inspiring. The Las Vegas sun compares him to the modern day Marlboro man, only on the other side of the fence.
And his stance is admirable. McEvoy says that second hand smoke is a detriment to the non-smoking patrons and employees of the casinos and that, “This [ban] is actually going to help the [casino] industry in the long run.”
But why is McEvoy so adamant about this cause. It’s simple really, McEvoy had an allergic reaction to smoke on several different occurences and had to actually walk away from the poker tables and quit the game.
It’s little wonder his passion runs strong for his cause.
It makes me reflect on the rest of us out there, the internet gamblers. We don’t have to deal with all that excess baggage. The only problem we live with is the 56k modems that slow up the games to snails paces. But I guess we can’t complain too much.
But you have to wonder, if this movement is a success, would cigar avataras be banned from online poker rooms? Would be have to pixelate our webcams if we chose to smoke a cigarette?
I wouldn’t think so. Sometimes these writers’ minds just get the best of us.

One of my favorite tactics in recent years from playing online poker is using the online forum as a way to stretch my opponents’ perceptions of my play. Because I tend to play tight aggressive poker, particularly at more loose tables, there can often be long stretches where my suited connectors and small pairs are missing flops and my big hands aren’t coming. So instead of getting pegged early on as a solid player, I sometimes like to stir up the water when I first arrive and make my opponents consider me quickly in a light much different from who I am.
Because no one can see who you are in online poker, it can be fairly easy to cultivate a ridiculous donkey image. For instance, being overly aggressive in the chatbox on the room in a way that might provoke players. Sometimes I like to win a pot and be loud about it, making comments that in person I’d never let come out of my mouth be heard around the table, such as, “THATZ RIGHT LITTLE GIRLZ” or “LEARN FROM THE BIG DOG.” These kind of comments, which in me would create disdain for the player saying them, can quickly create a rally against you by one or two of the other players at the table, who will likely then try to come after you more loosely in the future.
It’s an idea akin to sitting down at a live poker game and showing a big bluff early on, then sitting back and playing tight poker. Once you get that initial image centered in your opponents head, it can be hard for them to release it. Playing erratically at first and making a scene about it is a great way to get those player notes on your filled up with all kind of things that won’t match how you are actually playing at all, which in the long run can wield some nice dividends.
